Phantom of the Opera

Last Tuesday 4th of September, Poon & I headed over to the Princess Theater in Melbourne to watch the 'Phantom of the Opera'. It was spectacular!
This would be my 3rd musical I attended live in my lifetime.
The first musical was 'Cats' back in 2002 during the grand opening back in KL's Istana Budaya... I loved it... m favourite musical of all time... (Australian Cast). I was still taking my foundation studies back in LICT Kuching and i flew to KL for 3 days just to catch this event. Tickets cost RM275 for the grand circle seats... i think? *****5 stars

The Second musical event I watched was 'Miss Saigon' a few months back. Tickets were a Birthday Gift from Winnie da 'Poon' :)
We arrived a little late and as all musicals.. itz a full house every night (Location: Her Majesty's Theater, Melbourne) Miss Saigon was very uplifting; and I absolutely love the guy playing the role of the 'Contrator'? i forgotten what's his part already.... The staging was brilliant too and quick ! (Tickets: AUD99.90 x 2) *****5 stars

Finally 'Phantom of the Opera' was refreshing too after having to live through routine of Uni, Work, Assignments, Eat, Sleep, repeat~~ The Actor playing Raoul (John Bowles) really looked like a 'Barbie, Ken doll'! Seriously... He looks too bloody good looking... but for his singing.. can't say itz excellent, just A-Okay. We didnt get the main singer for Christine Daae who was suppose ot be 'Ana Marina', instead we had 'Julie Goodwin' the alternate (not as pretty as Ana)
For the Phantom we had the legendary 'Anthony Warlow' who has been playing the role for 17 years!... ZOMG! No wonder he was the best actor/singer there...
The Staging and costumes for this performance was beautiful and It makes me wonder, how they got the hundreds of candles on the floor in seconds, during the gondola scene... water was animated with I guess dry ice.. looks real... with the bridge and all... The chandelier too made a debut.. hehe!

This live video footage is of the same actor Anthony Warlow for phantom, but i got the understudy for christine, this Ana Marina is the main Christine

This next video is excellent... a part of a real stage video which probably never got released

Ok... gotta get back to my assignments... So much to do! only a few more weeks and Itz over....
Graduation is on da line....
